Satvik is a 1st year Chemical Engineering PhD student. Prior to coming to Caltech, Satvik worked on paper – based microfluidics at the Indian Institute of Science, where he worked on understanding transport fundamentals and its applications in paper microfluidics using a combination of theory and experiments. His research interests in the Kornfield lab fall in the domain of Rheology of Non–Newtonian fluids. Outside of research, Satvik enjoys singing, learning new musical instruments, practicing Indian classical and semi-classical music, and playing chess.
