Ph.D. Chemical Engineering, California Institute of Technology
M.S. Chemical Engineering, California Institute of Technology
B.S. Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Johns Hopkins University
Dennis is a postdoc at Caltech working on pharmacologic refractive correction through biolistic drug delivery to the cornea (read more) funded through the Merkin Institute. During his PhD, he developed a non-invasive way to safely deliver drug particles into the cornea, which he hopes can be commercialized into a clinical treatment.
Prior to coming to Caltech, Dennis worked in Prof. Robert Langer's lab at MIT on sustained drug particles encapsulating local anesthetics. At Johns Hopkins, he worked with Prof. Denis Wirtz's lab on particle tracking microrheology in ovarian cancer cells.
Outside of research, Dennis has served as an Assistant Coach for the Caltech Women's Basketball team. He was also a Caltech Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow as well as an Amgen Scholar.
